Chef Ishan Bahukhandi (born 19 February 1992) is a first youngest Indian chef was Master Chef of the Asian Cuisine at Olympic & Para-Olympic, 2016. Ishan was born in New Delhi to a Uttrakhand family. He did his schooling from Siddharth International School,New Delhi and pursued his education in Hotel Management from Institute of Hotel Management, Meerut. He was inspired by local street food vendor’s in Old Delhi to pursue his love of food.His mother’s want to he becomes a Doctor,Engineer, Government Officer,but he chosen ‘Art of Culinary Science”. He is also very passionate about automobiles, technology, photography, travel, fashion and history.
Having the early lessons about cooking from his Mother, he began his career around 2013, from the Taj group of hotels,The Lalit Hotel and Leela Kempinski. He is now the Executive Chef in R&D Department at Merino industries ltd( Vegit Brand) nationally leading brand, making Potato Flakes & Instant Snack Mixes, in the ready to cook market. He is well recognized by the Government of Brazil and was given an opportunity to present Asian Cuisine to President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff, Olympic athlete Usain St Leo Bolt, Sport minister of India Vijay Goel and Silver medalist PV Sindhu in Olympic games in 2016 etc . I would like share my life experience . I was not so good in study in school times.My mom said to me everytime “Ishan study well”But I ignored everytime So,I was fail in 11th Class in school.I feel too bad in my entire life and family member shout on me and so,many people happy to see my unsuccess. Only my mom support to “Ishan Never Give Up” Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you’re going to do now and do it.
